Brooks-Sena added to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Basketball Staff as Video Coordinator

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s basketball program announced the addition of Isaiah “Zeke” Brooks-Sena to its staff as Video Coordinator.
Brooks-Sena arrives at The Island University after serving as a graduate assistant coach with the men’s basketball team at Akron. He was a part of a Zips program that advanced to the NCAA Tournament with a 24-10 (14-6 MAC) record in 2021-22 and won the MAC Tournament.
“I’m excited to join the men’s basketball staff here at A&M-Corpus Christi and work for Coach Lutz. It is a unique University and Corpus Christi is an incredible city so the opportunity to help build this program was one I could not pass up. Coach Lutz has a track record of success, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from him and the rest of the staff,” Brooks-Sena said.
Prior to Akron, Brooks-Sena spent four years as a student manager under former head coach Paul Weir at his alma mater New Mexico and was the head manager in 2020-21. He majored in business administration with a concentration in marketing in May 2021.
“Our staff is very excited to add Zeke to the Islanders Basketball family. He has been a part of two very prestigious basketball programs and has had the opportunity to learn from some very good coaches. He also has a tremendous passion for excellence and helping student-athletes achieve their dreams. We are excited to get him to campus and get to work towards a Southland Conference Championship and another NCAA Tournament berth,” said head coach Steve Lutz.
While at UNM, Brooks-Sena also worked at Laguna Sports Academy where he was a head coach for two years for pueblo youth. He supervised four other coaches in the development of their teams and served as a middle school head coach and an assistant girls varsity head coach as spring and summer tournaments.
Brooks-Sena is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico where he attended Capital High School.
