Central Connecticut men’s basketball head coach Patrick Sellers has announced the addition of Jeremy Brown to the coaching staff as the Director of Basketball Operations and Analytics for the 2023-24 season. Brown returns to his alma mater after most recently working with the Christopher Newport University men’s basketball program.
“It is great to welcome Jeremy into the Central Connecticut basketball family,” said Sellers. “His background and experience in a variety of areas will be a tremendous asset to our program.”
Brown was the Director of Basketball Operations and Basketball Analytics at Christopher Newport University, helping the program to the Division III national championship in 2022-23. Brown returned to Christopher Newport after serving as Director of Basketball Operations at Lafayette College in 2021-22 where he coordinated team travel and compiled analytical scouting reports for the coaching. He was also with CNU from 2017-19 and was with the program when it advancedl to the Final Four in 2019.
Brown also has experience in working at ESPN as a Statistics Analyst. He worked with the Stats & Information group covering college basketball and the NBA, amongst other sports. Brown got his start working at Western Carolina University and Shenandoah University in 2015-17. During his season with Western Carolina, he assisted the men’s basketball program with statistical analysis and scouting reports. He would spend a year with Shenandoah University as an assistant coach and coordinator of operations. Brown coordinated team travel, monitored the team’s academic progress and oversaw the collection and distribution of game video.
Brown is a 2014 graduate of CCSU with a degree in accounting and finance and went on to earn a Master’s in Business Administration from Shenandoah University in 2015.
