Eastern Michigan University Head Men’s Basketball Coach Rob Murphy announced the promotion of Mike Brown to Associate Head Coach, effective immediately. Brown has served as an assistant coach to Murphy since May 5, 2011, and was instrumental in Eastern’s path to its first-ever Mid-American Conference West Division title during the 2011-12 season.

Brown has basketball coaching experience on the high school, junior college and college levels, including two stints as a head coach.
