With Saturday’s 101-94 victory over Hobart College, Skidmore College men’s basketball head coach Joe Burke became the program’s all-time wins leader, earning his 215th career victory.
In his 16th season at the helm, Burke surpassed longtime head coach John Quattrocchi, who recorded 214 wins over 20 seasons in Saratoga Springs. Burke owns a .551 career winning percentage, the highest among the program’s four head coaches since Skidmore began varsity competition in 1982.
Under Burke’s leadership, the Thoroughbreds have captured five Liberty League championships (2010, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019) and made six appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The 2025-26 Skidmore team is coming off a home sweep of Rensselaer and Hobart and currently holds a playoff position at 9-9 overall and 5-6 in the competitive Liberty League, with seven regular-season games remaining.
Skidmore returns to action tonight at Vassar before continuing the road trip Friday at Union and Saturday at Bard.
