Catchings added to Elizabethtown Basketball Staff

Head coach, Britt Moore has announced the addition of Donovan Catchings to the Elizabethtown College men’s basketball team’s coaching staff.

Catchings has spent the last three years as an assistant varsity coach at Dallastown Area High School. During his time at Dallastown Area, Catchings planned, organized, and delivered practice plans. He monitored and enhanced player performance through encouragement and constructive feedback. As a member of the coaching staff, Catchings played a crucial role in helping the team to three straight playoff appearances.

Catchings became a member of the AAU York Ballers coaching staff in 2023. While with the York Ballers, Catchings works with 14u to 17u age groups while also training high level players who are participating in college basketball. He organizes practices with a focus on skill development, basketball IQ, and game strategy. On top of his coaching duties, Catchings also handles administrative duties including scheduling, compliance and budgeting.

Catchings earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Marywood University where he was a three-year starter of the men’s basketball team. Catchings led the team in minutes played, average minutes, assists, steals, and 3-point field goal percentage.  He was selected as the Pacer’s team captain and established program records for single season and career assists in a game.
