The University of Miami and head men’s basketball coach Jim Larranaga have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension that will run through April 30, 2019. College of Charleston men’s basketball head coach Bobby Cremins has decided to take a medical leave of absence effective immediately. Associate Head Coach Mark Byington has been appointed as interim head coach. BREAKING: Cremins news conference scheduled for tonight
College of Charleston and head coach Bobby Cremins have scheduled a 6:15pm press conference for tonight. According to multiple sources, Cremins will take a leave of absence from the team due to a non-life threatening illness. It is unclear how long the leave will be for, and there is some speculation that he may resign.
NABC Suits and Sneakers Awareness Weekend
This weekend is the annual Suits and Sneakers Awareness weekend where coaches around the country will be be wearing sneakers to promote cancer awareness. Bozeman reinstated at Morgan State
Todd Bozeman has been reinstated as the head coach at Morgan State. Western Kentucky has confirmed that they have fired head coach Ken McDonald. Assistant Ray Harper will assume the duties as the interim head coach for the rest of the season.
