Marques Charlton joined the St. Lawrence University men’s basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in August 2021.
Charlton graduated from Clarkson University in 2014, where he received his Bachelor of Science in financial information and analysis. He competed as a four-year varsity athlete on the men’s basketball team and was named team captain. Charlton scored 1194 points in his career, 13th in program history at Clarkson University. After a successful four-year career, Charlton pursued basketball at the professional level in Reutlingen, Germany in 2015-20.
“Marques is going to be a huge resource in our player development,” said head coach Chris Downs. “As a former professional player, he knows firsthand how important improving skills is for a player to find success.”
Charlton brings several years of coaching experience to the position, having served as the head coach for the U16 TSG Reutlingen team in Germany in 2017-20. He also brings several years of experience as a personal basketball trainer at Patch Barracks Army Base located in Germany from 2017-20.
