PennWest Edinboro director of athletics Katherine Robbins announced on Friday that Pat Cleary will not be returning as the head men’s basketball coach.
“I want to thank Pat for his service to the Edinboro men’s basketball program and the manner in which he has represented our campus,” Robbins said. “We feel the time is right to make a change to benefit our student-athletes and the men’s basketball program.”
Cleary compiled a 96-144 record during his 10 seasons as head coach and was the 2017-18 PSAC West Coach of the Year.
A national search will begin immediately to the fill the position.
