As we’ve said many times, we here at HoopDirt are trying to help as many coaches as we can. We have said repeatedly that we will never charge for our rumors, news, or jobs (http://www.hoopdirt.com/article/6b5e827e/hoopdirts-mission-s…). As coaches we understand how difficult it is to break into and remain in the business.

We do have a new policy concerning our coaching clinics however. I believe coaching clinics are a great way for coaches – young and old – to stay sharp and pick-up new ideas. No coach knows everything and clinics are a great way to keep evolving as a coach. Clinics are also a great way for coaches and programs to make money – and we here at HoopDirt have had a hard time lately posting clinics for free. Our new policy is something that we think is equitable for all parties.

• We will add all coaching clinics to our “clinics” section. When entered, they will also go on the front page as a blog, and will get “tweeted” on Twitter.

• What you charge for one (1) coach to attend your clinic is what we will charge you to post the clinic.

Since we are getting around 25,000 hits per day, we feel that your clinic will be getting some pretty good exposure. We also feel our pricing is fair – if you get one coach from your ad on HoopDirt, you’ve broken even. After that, it’s profit.
