Morris Scott is no longer the head basketball coach at Southern. He has been replaced by former Morehead State head coach Sean Woods.

Scott spent this past season as the interim head coach, and led the Jaguars to a 15-18 (10-8) record. He had spent the previous six seasons as an assistant at Southern.

Woods is the former head coach at Mississippi Valley State (2008-12) and Morehead State (2012-16). A former standout at Kentucky, Woods was most recently an assistant at Stetson.
