Greg Rosnick, who worked for Haverford College last year, was named an assistant coach for the Colby College men’s basketball team Friday.
Rosnick will join the staff of head coach Damien Strahorn and assistant coach Damian Farley.

Rosnick also excelled off the court, earning the Stephen G. Cary Award in 2009 for the senior with the greatest impact on Haverford’s athletic department. He also was awarded the W.W. Smith Scholarship in 2008 and 2009 for being a top college/community leader at the school. Rosnick earned the LGB Education Scholarship for academic excellence in 2007.
Rosnick, who earned a master’s degree from Smith College in 2010, is the co-founder and president of DiverseCity Hoops. He started the basketball camp in 2007 and a goal of the program is to utilize basketball to teach racial, cultural, and gender diversity. Before taking the assistant coaching job at Haverford, Rosnick spent one year as assistant coach at Belchertown (Mass.) High School.
