Doane Men’s Basketball has announced the hiring of Dalton Coleman as assistant coach. Coleman was chosen following a national search and comes to Doane after serving as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Greensboro (N.C.).

“I am very excited for Dalton to join our program,” Doane Head Coach Ian McKeithen commented. “He has great experience at various levels and comes to us highly recommended by the coaching staff he has worked for. He will make a great impact on our student athletes and fit in perfectly on our campus.”

Coleman holds a bachelor’s degree from Maryville (Tenn.) where he was a four-year letterman and member of two USA South Conference tournament championship teams. After his playing days, he moved to North Carolina and served as a graduate assistant at NCAA Division I Gardner-Webb (N.C.) for a year. Coleman joined Greensboro in 2023, helping guide the Pride to their first conference tournament appearance in 11 years.
