Columbia College (MO) Head Coach Bob Burchard Wins 700th Game

With Columbia College (MO)’s victory over St. Louis College of Pharmacy this past weekend, head coach Bob Burchard has claimed his 700th career victory at Columbia College. Since his arrival at Columbia College, Burchard has turned the Cougar basketball program into a perennial powerhouse in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Burchard has compiled a 700-236 record in 28 seasons at the helm, giving him the most wins in program history. The Cougars have averaged more than 26 victories per season under his guidance.

The Cougars have advanced to the NAIA Men’s National Basketball Championship 19 times in his tenure, including 18 of the past 21 seasons. Burchard has been named the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Coach of the Year nine times, most recently last season when he led the Cougars to a perfect 19-1 mark in league play. Among all active coaches in the NAIA, he ranks 5th in wins with 664.
