Conn College adds assistant

Chris McHugh, a former assistant coach with the Mount Saint Mary College men’s basketball program, has been named as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Connecticut College.

Under the direction of Head Coach Ryan Kadlubowski at Mount Saint Mary’s, McHugh helped the Knights to a record of 42-16 in his two seasons as assistant coach.

At Mount Saint Mary’s, McHugh assisted with recruiting, on-court coaching and player development.

McHugh’s recruiting efforts paid immediate dividends for the Knights’ basketball program. Joe Stabach, a member of the class of 2014, was named both the Skyline Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference Metro Region Rookie of the Year.

McHugh was a four-year contributor at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va. He served as a team captain in his senior year, leading the squad to a successful 16 win season.

McHugh graduated from Washington & Lee in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in politics.
