Coppin State and head coach Ron "Fang" Mitchell are battling over a new contract right now. Mitchell, who has been at Coppin State for 25 seasons (395 wins, 4 NCAA tournament trips) has a 10-year contract that expires in June. He called Coppin State’s latest contract "unacceptable", but will continue to try to work out a deal. Mitchell is a Coppin State icon, so I hope this gets worked out before his contract expires. If they can’t come to an agreement, CSU will be looking for a new coach in June.
