I can confirm that D2 Chestnut Hill College (PA) will name JJ Butler as their new head men’s basketball coach.

Butler has spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at D3 Susquehanna University (PA). He is no stranger to Chestnut Hill however – he played his final collegiate season there, and spent 2017-18 as an assistant for the Griffins. He began his playing career at D1 Lipscomb University before transferring to Chestnut Hill in 2016.

He will replace Jesse Balcer who stepped away from his basketball post in early March to focus solely on his AD duties at the college.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
