I have now heard from multiple sources that Eastern New Mexico head basketball coach Tres Segler has stepped down from his position.
Segler had been the Greyhounds coach for the past four seasons, where he put together a 45-66 record (8-19 this past season). From 2009-2016, he served as an assistant coach at Lone Star Conference foe Midwestern State, and was a grad assistant at Texas before that.
ENMU becomes the 3rd Lone Star school to make a coaching change this year, as Western New Mexico and Texas A&M International have already announced their new hirings. Additionally, Tarleton State, who is leaving the Conference for the WAC, also made a change.
An official announcement at Eastern New Mexico is expected sometime next week.
