Gouard, a former standout at USI, has been the head coach at UIndy for the past 12 seasons 228-117 (.661). He also served as an assistant at Southern Indiana as well as Indiana State. This past season, he led his squad to a 24-6 (15-5) record,
As a player, he led USI to its first national championship in 1995 under head coach Bruce Pearl, and was the NABC D2 National Player of the Year twice.
