I can confirm that D2 Holy Family University (PA) will hire John Baron as their new Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Baron has spent the past 23 years as the head coach at nearby D3 Gwynedd Mercy University (PA).
During his tenure at GMU, Baron has put together an impressive 409-198 (.674) record, including a 21-5 (9-3 AEC) mark this past season.
In his time as the Griffins head coach, Baron achieved eleven 20-win seasons, six conference championships, 10 conference championship appearances, six NCAA Tournament appearances, four NCAA Tournament wins, an appearance in the Sweet 16, and an ECAC Championship.
Baron will replace Ryan Haigh, who had been the head coach at HFU for the past six seasons.
