Following-up on something that I mentioned earlier today in the DAILY DIRT…
The University of Montevallo (AL) wil name their new head men’s basketball coach today at 11am (CST). I have heard from multiple sources that the choice is expected to be Alabama Huntsville associate head coach Anthony Komara.
Komara has been on the staff at UAH for the past nine years, and was elevated to associate head coach prior to last season. During his time with the Chargers, he has been part of seven teams that have reached the NCAA D2 Tournament, including this past season’s squad that went 23-11.
He would replace Danny Young, who resigned after 19-seasons at the help back in mid-April.
More on this when it becomes official.
