D3 DIRT: Colby opens; Rutigliano taking D1 assistant job

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

I can confirm that D3 Colby College head coach Sean Rutigliano is on the move and will become an assistant at Kansas State. I first mentioned Rutigliano’s involvement with this one back on 3/18 (DAILY DIRT).

Rutigliano was hired at Colby last spring following an six year run as an assistant at Belmont where he worked for new K-State head coach Casey Alexander. He led the Mules to a 16-9 record in his only season in Waterville.

Prior to his time at Belmont, Rutigliano spent time as an assistant at Lipscomb, Army, D2 Alabama Huntsville, D2 Ouachita Baptist University, and D3 Kean.

More on this one once an official announcement is made.
