I have heard from multiple sources that Gettysburg will hire York (PA)’s Matt Hunter as their new head men’s basketball coach. He will replace B.J. Dunne who took over at MIT last month.
Hunter has spent the past 13-seasons as the head coach at York where he put together a 170-148 (.535) record. Last season, he led his squad to a 22-7 mark, captured the MAC Commonwealth Tournament Championship, and advanced to the second round in NCAA D3 National Tournament.
An official announcement is expected around noon today.
