Shanan Rosenberg is no longer the head men’s D3 Linfield University, following weeks of turmoil.
Rosenberg was suspended following an incident at a game on February 18th, where he allegedly got into a verbal altercation with a parent behind Linfield’s bench.
The Oregonian is reporting that “In a letter sent to the university’s board of trustees and president this week, Rosenberg’s lawyer argues that what’s behind the coach’s dismissal goes beyond what happened on the court last month.”
According to the New-Register, if he is not rehired, Rosenberg “would seek damages of approximately $2.5 million and is giving the school until March 20 to decide on a proposed settlement before taking “appropriate formal action.”
Rosenberg has been the head coach at for the past ten seasons where he went 126-115 (.523). This past season, LU went 10-15 (7-9 NWC).
Rosenberg has officially been removed from the roster and his job has been posted by HR.
