This one has been making the rounds for a while, but I can now confirm that NYU head coach Dave Klatsky will become an assistant at Florida. Klatsky has been texting guys in the coaching community today informing them of his move.
Klatsky has gone 68-16 (.810) in his three seasons at NYU, including a 29-2 record this past season and an appearance in the NCAA D3 National Championship game. The Penn grad had spent 11-seasons on the staff at Colgate prior to being hired as the head coach at NYU.
Klatsky is also the brother-in-law of former Gators assistant Kevin Hovde, who recently departed the Gators staff to become the head coach at Columbia.
An official announcement is expected here shortly.
