I can confirm that D3 SUNY Purchase will hire Alfred State’s Jack Dignan as their new Head Basketball Coach.

Dignan was named as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year this past season after leading the Pioneers to a 15-12 (12-6 AMCC) record. This was an eight game improvement from the 7-18 mark in Dignan’s first season at Alfred State.

Prior to his time as a head coach, Dignan spent time as an assistant at Colby, Clarkson, and Sarah Lawrence. He played collegiately at SUNY Oneonta.

Dignan will replace former head coach Dan Bozzelli, who joined the staff at Marist back in late June.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
