I have heard from multiple sources that D3 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will name Clif Carroll as their new head basketball coach today.
Carroll has spent the past five seasons as the head coach at American Southwest Conference foe Sul Ross State. This past season, he led SRSU to a 17-10 (13-3) record, and compiled a 78-57 (.578) record during his time there.
In addition to his time at Sul Ross, he spent two seasons as the head coach at McMurry University (2013-15), and had worked on Pat Knight’s staff at Lamar (2011-13).
Carroll will replace Ken DeWeese who retired after 22 seasons back in March.
More when this becomes official later today.
