Riley Costas has been added as an assistant coach to the Berry Men’s Basketball coaching staff.

Costas was a four-year member of the Berry basketball team from 2020-2023 and had a historic career on the floor for the Vikings. The 2022 SAA Defensive Player of the Year had an 80-16 record as a player and was part of 3 conference championship teams, including winning the 2021 and 2022 SAA Conference Tournaments and helping Berry reach the NCAA Tournament in 2022.

Head Coach Mick Hedgepeth on adding Costas: “Any time you can add someone with Riley’s experience as a player to your staff, it will positively affect your entire program. He will bring tremendous knowledge and the fantastic work ethic that he displayed as a student athlete at Berry. I know those traits will continue to make those around him better, and we are thrilled for him to stay at Berry and begin his coaching career.”
