Augustana College (IL) head men’s basketball coach Tom Jessee has announced the addition of Kyle LaMonte to his coaching staff as an assistant.
“We are so excited with the addition of Kyle to our basketball staff and the Augustana family,” Jessee stated. “His background, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the game of basketball will be a terrific addition to our program.”
LaMonte has enjoyed an illustrious playing career, spending 13 years overseas and competing at the professional level in 12 different countries. He has been a part of eight international and national championships and has been named Most Valuable Player on four occasions.
LaMonte is a graduate of Davenport North High School and played collegiate basketball at Marshalltown Community College before finishing his career at Southern Mississippi, where he graduated from in 2007. Locally, he has coached AAU and high school and also works with individuals on player development.
LaMonte’s duties with the men’s basketball program will begin immediately.
