Today’s dirt….

Last week I blogged that that Kevin Emerick was out as the head coach at Lincoln Trail CC – I can now confirm that report. Emerick has indeed been suspended and Wasbash Valley assistant Mike Ray has taken over. Apparently Emericks employment status will be reviewed at the January Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board meeting. From what I’ve heard, it sounds like the suspension will lead to a termination. I’ll keep you posted on this one.

Arkansas video coordinator Mike Anderson, Jr. was arrested this past Sunday on suspicion of DWI. He was pulled over at 3:43am and failed a field sobriety test. This is his second DWI arrest since 2007. Anderson is the son of Razorbacks head coach Mike Anderson. Auburn head coach Tony Barbee has finally signed his contract. He has been working under a “letter of agreement” since he was hired in March of 2010. The deal will pay him $1.5 per season through 2017. Barbee can also earn up to $500,000 in bonuses per season.
