A few things that I’ve heard from the JC’s….

Chris DeFelice has resigned at Montgomery College-Takoma Park after a 6-1 start due to family health issues. He will be replaced for the remainder of the season by Tim Thomas. Thomas has been an assistant at both Howard University and Bowie State. Also, I’ve heard that the Montgomery College system which houses 3 separate men’s basketball programs will merge into one program on the Rockville campus for the 2012-13 season.

I have heard from multiple sources that Lincoln Trail CC’s Kevin Emerick is no longer the head coach, and Wabash Valley assistant Mike Ray has taken over as the interim head coach. Ray has been an assistant to Dan Sparks at Vincennes and Wabash for the past 19 seasons. No word on why Emerick is out – I’ve heard it may be some kind of suspension though.
