Catching-up on a few things…
I have heard that Sacred Heart has hired Donte Gittens as their new Director of Basketball Operations and Chris Pagentine as their Video Coordinator. Gittens, a former standout at D2 Franklin Pierce, spent last season as the head coach at Perkiomen School (PA). Pagentine was most recently at DME Prep following a playing and coaching career overseas.
Hartford has hired former standout Jason Dunne as their new Director of Basketball Operations. The 2019 grad scored 1,458 points for the Hawks (6th all-time), and was a 2X All America East Selection (2018 and 19). He joined the staff at Hawaii last season after wrapping up his playing career overseas.
Bryant DBO Luke St. Lifer is headed to D2 Florida Southern as an assistant. He had been on Jared Grasso’s staff since 2020, and worked as an assistant at D2 LeMoyne before that. St. Lifer is a 2018 Florida Southern grad.
D2 Jefferson University (PA) has promoted Ryan McGee to associate head coach. He joined the Jefferson staff in 2018 following a stint as a GA at Hofstra.
I have heard that Tommy Eastman will join the staff at D3 Tufts University as an assistant. Eastman spent last year as a grad transfer at Brandeis, where he averaged 15.8ppg. He began his playing career at SUNY Geneso before transferring to Middlebury (and finishing at Brandeis).
Speaking of Brandeis…assistant coach L.J. Harrington departed Judges staff and has become an assistant at rising prep powerhouse The Newman School in Boston. Harrington, who had been at Brandeis since 2018, has also been an assistant at Regis College and Wentworth Institute. Additionally, he served as the head coach at D3 Newbury College, where he built the team that captured the 2008 ECAC Championship.
