A few things that I’ve heard today…

• LSU head coach Johnny Jones is going to get a huge bump in salary this week. The LSU Board of Supervisors are scheduled to meet on Friday and vote on a $400,000 pay increase and an extension until 2019. Jones is 39-26 in his two seasons at LSU, and advanced to the NIT last season. More on this after Friday’s meeting.

• Multiple sources have told me that Lehigh has hired Vince Johnson as their new DBO. Johnson has most recently been an assistant with the NJ Playaz (AAU), and has also worked as an assistant at Hudson Catholic (NJ) HS. I have heard the official announcement could be made by the end of the week.

• Mike Griffin, who retired as the head coach at RPI this past spring, is back at it. I have heard that he has become the boys basketball coach at The Hoosac School (NY). In 37 years as an NCAA head coach, Griffin amassed a 442-491 record. He spent 29 seasons at RPI, 6 at Colgate, and 2 at Thiel.
