Not quite DIRT season yet, but the chatter is starting to pick up. Here are a few quick things as we gear up for the madness of March…
The search at Stephen F. Austin is moving along. I can confirm that Cardinal Grange is running the search, and has already started reaching out to candidates. I’ll roll with a list shortly, but names I’ve heard include 2 D2 head coaches (who have been very successful), a former D1 head coach, and a current D1 assistant (with JUCO head coaching experience). More on this one shortly.
I have heard from multiple sources that initial Zoom interviews at NAIA York University (NE) took place over the past few weeks. A bunch of NAIA and D2 assistants in the mix. It sounds like the AD, women’s basketball coach, and as many as 5 other athletic department employees were are on the committee. Waiting on word to see who advanced to the next round.
