Catching-up on a bunch of things that I’ve heard…
IUPUI (which will become Indiana University Indianapolis on July 1st) started “intro” Zooms this week. Not sure on the exact amount of early calls, but sounds like a sizable number. Multiple sources are saying to keep an eye on D2 University of Indianapolis head coach Paul Corsaro. The Indianapolis native has gone 78-36 (.684) in his four seasons at UIndy. Should have some more solid names once we hit round 2. This search is being run by SP Athletics and former Horizon League Commish Jon LeCrone.
It sounds like the search at UIC is also moving along. One name that keeps popping up here is former SIU head coach Bryan Mullins. Despite winning 19 games this year (and knocking off a Top-25 team for the first time in 11-seasons), and winning 23 games last season, SIU made the decision to move on from Mullins. Parker Executive search is running this one. More on this one as I hear it.
Interesting early name at Central Arkansas is former Coastal Carolina interim head coach Benny Moss. The veteran coach had spent 11 seasons as an assistant on Cliff Ellis’ staff at Coastal, and was promoted to interim head coach when Ellis retired back in Early December. Moss also served as the head coach at UNC Wilmington from 2006-2010. Should have more names here soon.

Side note: I’ve been keeping track of women’s searches as well – Renaissance Search & Consulting has the North Alabama search.
Thanks to a big-time source, I can now confirm that Terrence Stewart is no longer the head coach at D2 Georgian Court. He had been the head coach at GCU for the past eight seasons where he went 39-159 (.197). Prior to his time with the Lions, he spent four years as the head coach at D3 Immaculata. An official announcement is expected shortly.
I can confirm that Bruce Johnson is out as the head coach at Penn State Shenango. Johnson was hired back in 2021 after a run as an assistant at D2 Notre Dame College (OH). Tough gig here – part-time, no dorms, no gym, no scholarships.
NJCAA D2 Kishwaukee is open, as I can confirm that head coach Joe Conroy will not return. Conroy has spent the past three seasons at the helm, leading the Kougars to a 17-14 record this past season. More on this one once it becomes official.
