Just a few quick things…

There is growing speculation that Jacksonville head coach Jordan Mincy could be the leading candidate to replace Justin Joyner (now the head coach at Oregon State) on the staff at Michigan. Mincy, who has served as the Dolphins head coach since 2021, previously worked alongside Michigan head coach Dusty May at both Louisiana Tech University and University of Florida.

Obviously Ronald Nored is the early hot name to replace Thad Matta at Butler. The former Bulldog standout is currently an assistant with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, and has also worked for the Celtics, Pacers, and Hornets. He also spent two seasons as the head coach of the G League’s Long Island Nets. Will have a better update on this search later this week.

It sounds like JR Blount is bring at least two guys with him from Iowa State to San Diego. Will know more here once Iowa State’s tourney run is over.

D2 Cal State San Marcos assistant Cory Coombe is believed to be the leader to become the next head coach at D3 Lewis and Clark. Coombe, a L&C alum, joined the CSUSM staff last summer after a five year run as the associate head coach at D3 Redlands. He has also been an assistant at D3 Whitman. Sounds like this search will be wrapped up this week.

I have heard that Parker has the Georgia State job. Word on the street is that they are initially focused on guys with head coaching experience.
