Two very quick things to start what I believe will be a busy day…

• CBSSports.com is reporting that the deal between Ben Howland and Mississippi State is imminent, and could be done today. We’ll definitely continue to follow this one.

• Obviously early at Bradley, but a name getting a ton of play right now is Michigan State assistant Dane Fife. New Bradley AD Chris Reynolds (hired last week) played at Indiana from 1989-93 and was part of the 1992 Final Four team. Fife is also a former Hoosier – a 2002 grad who led the Hoosiers to the National Title game his senior year. Before joining the MSU staff four years ago, Fife was the head coach at IPFW (82-97 – 6 seasons). More on this search as it develops.
