Daily Dirt – 4/17/14

Some "dirt" to kick off the day – more on the way…

• The “hot” name now at Marshall is Robert Morris head coach Andy Toole. He just wrapped-up a 22-14 season which included an NIT bid. Toole has compiled a 90-50 record over his four seasons at RMU. Last season his squad defeated Kentucky in the NIT.

• I can confirm that College of Charleston assistant Amir Abdur-Rahim has accepted an assistant spot at Texas A&M. Abdur-Rahim played for Kennedy at Southeast Louisiana and also spent time on his staff at Murray State. He spent the last two seasons at C of C.

• I have heard that Skype interviews have started at Mary Washington (VA). It sounds like 8-10 guys have been selected for the Skype stage. Some of the names that have been mentioned are Yale assistant Jamie Snyder-Fair and Brown assistant Paul Halas. There are also at least two current DIII head coaches involved.

• It sounds like University of Mary (ND) graduate assistant Jared Marshall will join the Joe Kittell’s staff at Lake Region State College (ND). Marshall had spent the past two seasons at UMary, and was a HS coach in Colorado before that.
