Getting caught up on a bunch of things that I’ve heard…

  • Early in the search at Southeast Louisiana, but sounds like one of the current assistants may be promoted to replace Jay Ladner who took over at Southern Mississippi. Should know more on this as the dust settles over the next 24 hours.

  • From what I’ve heard, Parker has the Northern Kentucky search. It sounds like current assistant Chris Shumate will be in the mix. Other names I’ve heard here are Winthrop’s Pat Kelsey and Florida’s Darris Nichols. More names here soon.

  • I have heard that Furman assistant Dwight Perry and Gardner Webb assistant Paul Hemrick are both in line to join Jay McAuley’s new staff at Wofford.

  • I have heard that former UMass assistant Cliff Warren will join Rob Lanier’s staff at Georgia State. Also heard Rice assistant Chris Kreider is in the mix here.

  • Names that I’ve heard in the mix for spots at Presbyterian are SEMO’s Nick Lagroone, and College of Charleston staffers Trey Meyer and Ben Korren.

  • Chris McCabe will be named as the head coach at D2 William Jewel College. He has been the head coach at North Liberty High School for the past nine seasons.

  • It sounds like NAIA Freed Hardeman is leaning towards naming local HS coach Drew Stutts as their next head coach. The former FHU assistant has most recently been the head coach at Chester County HS.

  • Jason Polykoff has resigned as the head coach at DIII Earlham College. He had been at EC for the past five seasons. I’ve heard that he’s returning to Friends Central School (PA), where he coached from 2007-12.
