Some things that I have heard so far today…
• I blogged last night that Vassar College head coach Del Harris was out. I have now heard that assistant coach BJ Dunne will assume the role of interim head coach while the search takes place. He will also be considered for the position. Dunne joined the Vassar staff prior to this past season. He has also worked at Emerson and Babson.
• I have heard that Florida Gulf Coast assistants Marty Richter and Mike Fly will have the opportunity to remain with the program in some capacity. They had both spent two seasons with Andy Enfield at FGCU. I am not sure what roles they have been offered (or if they have accepted) under new head coach Joe Dooley.
• I have heard former Southern Indiana head coach Rick Herdes’ name mentioned surrounding the vacancy at Wabash Valley. Herdes compiled a 200-59 record at USI from 2001-2009. He was also an assistant at USI for nine seasons under Bruce Pearl.
