Last night, I tweeted that a D1 was opening down South. I have now heard from multiple sources that Indiana State intends to hire New Orleans Head Coach Mark Slessinger as their new Associate head coach. Slessinger, an Indiana native, has been at UNO for the past 13-seasons. Additionally, I have heard that Renaissance Search and Consulting will have the New Orleans search. More on this one once it becomes official.
UNCG assistant Donny Lind will be named as the next head coach at Mount St. Mary’s. Lind is a former MSM assistant who has also worked at Radford, VCU, and George Washington. An official announcement is expected shortly.
So much more going on – will try to get stuff slowly over the next two days. Gotta get back out to St. Catherine St….
