DAILY DIRT – 4/2/26

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

Just a few quick things….

I have heard that former NC State assistant Brandon Chambers in the leader at UTRGV and most people close to this one expect him to be the choice. Chambers is a Will Wade disciple who has been with him at LSU, McNeese, VCU as well as NC State. His familiarity with the SLC is a big factor with this one – he was a part of Wade’s staff that went 36-2 in the league during their two seasons at McNeese.

I have heard that Central Michigan associate head coach Brooks Miller is expected to be the choice at D2 Ferris State. Miller joined the CMU staff last spring after a big time run at D3 Trine, which saw him capture the 2023-24 NCAA D3 National Championship. More on this one shortly.

It sounds like D3 Rowan University head coach Eric Brennan is in the mix to join the staff at Air Force. New Air Force head coach Joe Crispin was the head coach at Rowan from 2016-23 – Brennan was one of his assistants.

New D1 West Florida has wrapped up their search. They are hiring a current D1 assistant. Stay tuned…
