Daily Dirt – 4/22/11

I am out of the office today – just wanted to get a couple things up before the DirtQueen and all of the little DirtBags wake-up….apparently we are having a "family day" today. Here we go…

George Mason head coach Jim Larranaga is emerging as the leader at Miami. Sources have confirmed that he interviewed there last week. The 61-year old Larranaga made $525,000 this past season and $693,750 total including bonuses. It is believed that Miami would double that.

Virginia Tech assistant Adrian Autry has not been officially named as an assistant at Dayton yet. I know that he was on Dayton’s campus last Sunday, but no announcement was made. There is much speculation that he will instead head to Syracuse to replace Rob Murphy. Autry is a Syracuse alum who played for Jim Boeheim.

North Idaho College’s Jared Phay has withdrawn from Lewis-Clark State’s search for a new men’s basketball coach. I reported last week that he was a candidate. Here’s a link to some of the other names. http://hoopdirt.com/blog/9ffd6215/daily-dirt-4-15-11/… Also, you can add Lambuth’s Kevin Burton to that list.
