A few things to start the week…

• I have heard that Western Illinois associate head coach Billy Wright is in the mix for an assistant spot at Ball State. Wright is an Indiana native who has been on the WIU staff for the past three seasons. He was a very successful HS coach in Indianapolis before that.

• It appears that Micah Byars has been promoted from director of player development to DBO at Iowa State. He joined Fred Hoiberg’s staff in 2011 – he was the DBO at Central Florida before that.

• Grant McMillan has joined the staff at Independence CC (KS) as an assistant. He was an assistant at Howard College (TX) last year and worked at TCU before that.
