Congrats to Dusty May and Michigan – what a great season. A well deserved National Championship. Here are a few quick things to kick off the worst morning of the year – no college basketball games for the next 209 days.
I have heard that Loyola (MD) assistant Matt Blue is on the move and will join Nevada Smith’s new staff at Siena. Blue has been at Loyola for the past two seasons, and spent 8 years prior to that working for the NBA with their development programs in Asia and Australia. He has also been an assistant at Lafayette and Hartford.
Noah Breitenstein has been hired as an assistant at Houston Christian. He spent last season as an assistant at D2 New Mexico Highlands and has also spent time in administrative roles at New Mexico State and Coastal Carolina.
Some quick small college search updates:
NAIA Marian sounds like it’s done. Sounds like they’re hiring a current NAIA head coach. Stay tuned.
D2 Montana Western is wrapping up interviews. Sounds like an announcement here will be made by no later than Friday.
Parker has the search at D3 Colby College. My complete list of schools and their search firm partners is HERE.
The final three interviews take place this week at Miles CC (MT).
Check out all of the openings at every level of college basketball in HoopDirt’s Coaching Changes Tracker presented by The Coaching Portfolio. The complete list can be found HERE.
