Busy day – a few quick hitter’s to start the morning…
• I have heard that Sherron Wilkerson is out as an assistant at Lamar. He and former head coach Pat Knight were teammates at Indiana, and he had served on Knight’s staff for two seasons. I have heard one of the leaders to replace him is Anthony Anderson – he was the associate head coach under Isaiah Thomas at Florida International.
• I can confirm that Evan O’Brien is no longer the head coach at Framingham State (MA). O’Brien took over as the interim head coach near the end of the 2012-13 season, and held the same role this past year. He was also the head coach/interim head coach at Newbury College (MA). The job will remain part-time.
• I have also heard from multiple sources that Stephen Thompson is no longer the coach at Cal State Los Angeles. The former Syracuse standout had been at the school for the twelve seasons, the last nine as the head coach (126-120).
