D1 HC search updates:
Eastern Michigan: I’ve heard that it’s down to two, with a decision to be made as early as tomorrow. It sounds like Stan Heath and a high major assistant (Michigan State’s Dwayne Stephens?) are the final two. More on this one as I hear it.
Central Michigan: Still early-ish here. Names making the rounds are Southern Utah head coach Todd Simon, and CMU alum and former Grand Canyon head coach Dan Majerle (some think there’s no way he wants it, some think it’s his to turn down). DHR is running this one.
The JUCO’s are like the wild west right now. There could be as many as 10 opening in the next few weeks – with some really good D1’s in the Midwest ones on the list. Stay tuned…
