• I have heard that Richmond will promote DBO Kim Lewis to assistant coach and elevate assistant Jamal Brunt to associate head coach. Brunt has been at Richmond since 2005 – working his way up the ladder having started there as the DBO. Lewis joined the staff two seasons and has also served as an assistant at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, Tulane, Northeastern, Duquesne, McNeese State, Xavier University of Louisiana and Centenary College.

• I can confirm that North Carolina Central assistant Wes Pifer will join the staff at Northern Arizona. Pifer has also been an assistant at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian (NC) and Miami-Dade. No word on when the official announcement will be made.

• Former Tennessee Chattanooga head coach John Shulman has entered the “real world” – he has taken a job as the Director of Sales for Chattanooga-based shipping company, Access America Transport: http://www.newschannel9.com/sports/features/headlines/storie…
