• I can confirm that Vermont assistant Matt O’Brien will be joining Bob Walsh’s new staff at Maine. O’Brien had been on the Vermont staff for the past six seasons. Before that, he was an assistant to Walsh at Rhode Island College.

• I have heard that Oklahoma State assistant video coordinator Trey Hendon has departed and will become the head coach at Valliant (OK) HS. Prior to joining the OSU staff, Hendon was an assistant at East Central University (OK).

• It sounds like Jeff Horner is in the mix for the vacant assistant spot at North Dakota. The former Iowa standout is currently the head coach at Valley HS in West Des Moines (IA). Brian Jones staff at North Dakota already has two former Iowa players – Dean Oliver and Jason Shay.
