Today’s "dirt" from the DirtKing…

• I have heard that Brandon Miller will join John Groce’s staff at Illinois. Miller played at Butler and had spent time as an assistant at Ohio State (served with Groce on Thad Matta’s staff). He will most likely be the “assistant to the head coach.” This was Ramon Williams’ job before he took an assistant spot at Virginia Tech a few weeks ago.

• It sounds like Dwayne Polee is involved with a spot on the staff at San Francisco. He was the DBO at USC from 2007-2010 and was most recently the head coach at Manual Arts High School (CA). He was a 3rd round pick by the Clippers in the 1986 NBA draft.

• Jon Millea has accepted the full-time assistant position at Buena Vista University (IA). He was previously the top assistant at Mt. Marty College (SD) and served two years as the graduate assistant at Southwest Minnesota State University before that.

• Washington & Lee assistant Sean Crocker has resigned to accept the HC job at Stuart Hall School (VA). He had also spent time as an assistant at Tufts and Framingham State, and worked for the Hoop Group.

• A couple of situations to keep an eye on – Southern State CC and SUNY-Maritime.
