Daily Dirt – 5/21/13

A couple of quickies to start the day…

• I have heard that Carroll College (MT) will introduce their new coach today. Multiple sources have told me that the choice will be Andrean (IN) HS head coach Carson Cunningham. Cunningham just completed his fifth season at AHS and has led his team to four straight sectional titles. He played collegiately at Purdue. It appears that Cunningham beat out Steve Keller (head coach Montana Western), Michael Burns (assistant coach San Diego), and Tim Cleary (head coach Pacific [OR]) for the job.

• Another HS guy making the jump to college…Prior Lake HS (MN) head coach Alex Focke has resigned to accept an assistant spot at Hamline (MN) under new head coach Jim Hayes. Focke had spent three seasons at Prior Lake – his squad won 19 games this past year.
